diptych challenge: fresh

This weeks challenge was "fresh".

fresh: recently made, produced or harvested.

I like we both got it right on.
Next week-something "round". I'm up for the challenge.

red: mk challenge

This week on {life through the lens} the photo challenge was "your favorite color".
Anyone who knows me, knows what it is.
red:

Red has more personal associations than any other color.
Recognized as a stimulant red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived.
Red draws attention and a keen use of red as an accent can immediately focus attention on a particular element.

How the color red affects us mentally and physically:
* Increases enthusiasm
* Stimulates energy
* Encourages action and confidence
* A sense of protection from fears and anxiety

So, all of you now know...i heart red.

pinevalley.

We went to pinevalley for my nephews birthday bash.
It was such a nice time in a beautiful environment.
Here's my cute nephew and a few of my fav moments captured that day.

fact: apricots are an excellent source of beta-carotene and are
useful in reducing infections or skin problems.

diptych challenge: soft

I got inspired by my SIL Kristi to start doing these diptych challenges.
Me and my other SIL Kamill started one together.

What is diptych photography?

A diptych is a photograph that uses two different or identical images
side by side to form one single artistic statement. The two images can literally
be in contact with each other, or separated by a border or frame.

Each week we will have a theme, word or phrase to use as our individual inspiration.
This week our inspiration was the word "Soft".

temple trip.

I'm learning how to use my new camera. I love it.
At a quick trip to the temple the other night I caught these images.

I finally got my camera.
I have been wanting it for years.
I am satisfied. Life is good.

Really though, she is the best.
My SIL Kamill wanted to take some pics of her too,
so I came along and got a few too,
with the NEW camera. *shout hooray*
